To work with Peter Nesbitt, a doctor from the land town of Moama in NSW, that description is a little more igual. Nesbitt and his two brothers would be on the start line at the Tertre Airport IRONMAN Cairns on August 14.
With Nesbitt's two bros, Michael 49, and Troy 43 living in Perth, IRONMAN events are getting their annual catch up.
It all was established in December 2010 when Michael great son Luke signed up to racing at the 2011 SunSmart IRONMAN Filme Australia.
"Michael called me when i was doing ward rounds towards the hospital. After a bit of persuasion the person also signed me up, " Peter said.
Initially Peter's reasons why you are entering were fitness based, the person felt having a long term goal surely help him maintain his personal training.
"The great thing about the next 1 year, often much more. was that we would communicate regularly to choose training and tactics. The whole five days in Busselton were marvelous and the finish was an extraordinary feel, one that I immediately said Rankings do again, " he explained.
Not to be left out brother Troy jumped on the family bandwagon towards the IRONMAN Asia-Pacific Championship Melbourne by 2013. That year Peter, Meters, Troy and Michael's son Lenny all raced.
"While I get those lot of satisfaction from competing Website owners enjoy being involved with my bros, " Peter said. "We is usually lucky to talk to each other a couple of times and even without IRONMAN. Now we talk weekly. "
As well as the IRONMAN special occasions Peter, Michael and Luke answered IRONMAN 70. 3 Shepparton for men and Michael, and Troy get met Peter in Sydney the past two years to do the Sydney Affliction.
As you'd expect the bros engage in lots of friendly banter in just the lead up to each event.
"I love the build up to each IRONMAN festival. Focussing for two to three days upfront on the event and sharing a great laughs and jokes is the best relations time, " Peter said. "I am always apprehensive at the start yet somehow love the feeling of knowing that I should always be right to finish because of the preparation. As well running down the finish chute is simply the best feeling, being able to share your idea with my family is special. "
The IRONMAN events have come to median more to the Nesbitt's than bicycling, biking and running. It's living them close, and has become a justification for the entire clan to get together consistently.
"In Busselton 2013 all of our girlfriends or wives and children (nine children by total) wore shirts that a lot of our daughter had made with 'Team Nesbitt' and all of our names. It was marvelous going past them on each together with the run laps in particular with lots of entertaining and high fives, " Philip said.
"In Cairns I am looking forward and spending the week with a lot of our brothers and our wives, along with a few other friends. My time and alignment don't really matter that much when I can finish in good shape and tap my brothers (I told you you're competitive). "
