Summer is almost certainly when Hollywood rolls out its serious guns, and this star-packed, superhero-stuffed eruption certainly starts things off possessing a bang.

It really is dense with character backstories, understanding dramas and plot points that most zip and zing in every way, including forward — to even more movies to come — and in reverse, riffing on things that have occured in previous ones.
